It's been a week around here. Between work, sickness, Daylight Savings Time, allergies, and some other random and annoying occurrences, I couldn't be happier to reach Friday. The big push at the office is over for now so I was able to do after school for the first time this week. For that, I am grateful. They look tired from a hard week at school. In about an hour, there will be our favorite pizza and movie streaming for all of us to watch. I'm celebrating (alone) what has been a very difficult case. I haven't needed a weekend as much as I do right now in a long time. Things won't lighten up at work until May so weekends are all I have right now. And thank goodness.
This Saturday, like last, should be a warm one and I'm psyching everyone up to go out for a family hike. Last weekend we went to the Mall and museums to spend the day in the sun. On the way home, we went to our old neighborhood playground. C and I both had this funny feeling when we got there - what used to feel like a large playground, felt really small and cramped. Perspective.
