Valentine's Day

The boys love a holiday.  A year in their life is a string of holidays, birthdays, and vacations, just as it should be.  Our school does not celebrate Valentine's Day so we don't do the traditional exchanging of cards and candies with classmates.  But I do always buy some treats every year and tuck them into their chairbackers.  This year we hung this wool felt heart garland and the boys spent an evening cutting out hearts to decorate the walls.  As with previous years, I bought a cake for tonight to mark the occasion.

I wrote the boys a message on pink post-its and stuck them down the entire hallway for them to find this morning.  It's the last day of school for the week and Monday is a holiday so we're looking forward to some serious weekending around here!
