Our Day
Today was our turn to bring snack for BB's class. In Lower El, families take turns bringing snack for the class on Fridays. It's an exciting day for the kids because the other students like to oohhh and aahhh over what was purchased for them. BB doesn't care about the food at all. In fact, he probably won't eat any of it. But he was excited anyway.
It also happens to be the day that I signed up to read to DD's class (I signed up back in 2012 - there is a waitlist!). Again, it's another exciting day when your parents come to class and you can sit next to them while sharing your favorite books with your classmates. Oftentimes, the kids will sing us a song of thanks; and it's super cute.
So when the boys realized that their snack day and their reading day coincided, BB declared it "Our Day." Nice way to kickoff the weekend!
