We attended our second session of
Stories in Art at the National Gallery of Art on Saturday where the topic of discussion was Romare Bearden. After a morning on our own and lunch in the museum cafe, we headed off to class and met our friends for an art project and free play time afterwards. Afterwards, we all went to to the Sculpture Garden Ice Rink to have refreshments at the
Pavilion Cafe. DD wanted to ice skate but he wasn't wearing socks so I had to say no. Tears ensued, but he made a quick recovery when I said they could climb the magnolia trees in the Sculpture Garden. The grown-ups got a few topics in over coffee and pastries, but we'll have to save the life discussions for another day
sans kids.
