The Currituck Lighthouse

I'm still drawing much inspiration from our trip to the Outer Banks, especially now that I notice the light changing and the earlier sunsets.  On another one of those perfect vacation days, we spent the better part of the morning in Corolla Village.  After climbing the Hatteras Lighthouse, BB told us he wanted to climb the Currituck Lighthouse again.  We had all climbed this back in May, but that climb exacerbated a leg injury DD had from weeks before so we decided to hang back while C and BB went for it.  If you look closely, you can see BB with C who is taking a photo of us down below.

While they climbed and enjoyed views from above, DD and I took a walk on the boardwalk to the Sound and spotted all sorts of creatures.  Then we headed back to the ice cream lady.  In the late evening, we walked along the beach until it was pitch black.  Not a bad way to spend the day.
