Architecture + Books at the Library
Now that school is underway, and because work very busy at the moment, outings on school nights are pretty much out of the question. But a recent flurry of books requests and interests in new topics had me wanting to take the boys to the library. We took advantage of the mild weather and headed out to the newly renovated library in Tenleytown. It's a LEED certified building with a vegetative green roof. There are tons of windows for maximum natural light. While I marveled at the building's design, the boys wondered through the aisles in search of their favorite reads. BB engaged the children's librarian on a few occassions to hunt down the books he was looking for.
My goal is to make regular visits to our area libraries for the entire school year.
