Toronto - The Road Home

On our way home, sick and injured but in great spirits, we stopped for lunch at Niagara-on-the-Lake. The weather was perfect to play along the beach but sadly, DD could not get into the water as he usually does.  So he frolicked on the edges keeping his shoes on even when we saw a huge fish (looks like a baby shark!) beach itself.  This was our first time in Niagara-on-the-Lake and I highly recommend it.  It's a lovely beach town with streets full of shops, cafes and restaurants, surrounded by wineries.

After lunch, we wanted the boys to see Niagara Falls but given DD's foot we didn't do any of the boat roads or walks behind the falls.  Instead we did the aerocar (gondola) which provided gorgeous views and absolutely no wait.  To see the falls themselves, I drove everyone over and drove around until they were done.  I never got out of the car!  Next time, next time.
Despite our small calamities, Toronto was a really low-key relaxing trip that we'll definite repeat the next time we experience a heat wave in D.C.
