We Have Pumpkins So That Means Fall

Each year, I never know quite what happens to September.  Summer ends, school starts, and then pumpkins and gourds start appearing.  I was wanting to wait before visiting the pumpkin patch but when it turned cold on Monday, it felt right to adorn the house with these signs of Fall.  Right after school we drove out under the threat of rain to a far away farm to pick out our goodies.  We lucky because the weather held out nicely.  And we ran into old friends who apparently had the same idea and the kids went off together to feed the farm animals.  A wheelbarrow full of pumpkins, gourds, a quart of apple cider, and candy sticks came home with us that day.
