Yards Park Water Play

The three day weekend was a hot one.  We were never far from a water source on each of the days.  We either hit a spray fountain or the pool in order to stay refreshed.  C was out of pocket this long weekend but the boys and I ventured over to the Yards Park to check out the water feature.  At first, BB was less than enthused.  He had wanted to return to the "rainbow fountain" in Georgetown, but he changed his mind when he saw the water.

The boys waded through the shallow pool and played in the waterfall while I cooled off under the covered deck area with the Anacostia River behind me.  When they finally had their fill, we headed up to the splash fountain before breaking for a snack.  Both boys were pretty exhausted by the end of our outing but I did convince them to walk over the pedestrian bridge and check out some of the park.  City life is good.
