Every day on vacation was fabulous - uninterrupted time together and the freedom to push bedtimes with little consequence. But even among vacation days, some are standouts. Tuesday was that kind of day - the weather was spectacular and all of our ideas for outings worked out perfectly. In the morning, we hit the beach to soak up some rays. Then we drove all the way south to Hatteras to enjoy its natural beaches. DD fell asleep in the car so C and I took turns taking BB up the big dunes and running the beach. On our way back, we hit the Bodie Island Lighthouse for a super fun visit on the boardwalk.
Some souvenir shopping was in order so we hit the shops on the way back home. It was the perfect.
