Oahu, Hawaii

For Spring Break this year, we took a big family vacation to Hawaii.  We planned this trip earlier this year.  All of us, as it turns out, like to see and experience big nature so Hawaii was an obvious choice. Somehow neither C nor I had ever been so it was really special that all four of us were experiencing it for the first time together.

This was our first full day on Oahu.  Even though we were jetlagged, we drove all over the east side of the island and found some stunning views.  I love the beginning of a big vacation - when you know you've got the entire trip inn front of you and things are just beginning to unfold.  Every turn of the beautiful road was another stunning vista for us to feast on.

We stayed in Waikiki so the evenings were spent in an urban environment but the days were for exploring.  If you've been keeping track via my Instagram feed, you know we were there for over 2 weeks and it felt so luxurious to be away for that amount of time.  We all have a sun-kissed tan and a disdain for shoes right now.  More photos to come.
