Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve at our house was a lively one.  During the day, I got the food and decorations ready.  The boys set the table.  We had our traditional sushi dinner, this year with a side of roast duck.  For dessert, a beautiful buche de noel, which I am going to make sure we get every year.  There were a few early Christmas presents, one of which was a magic kit for BB.  He treated everyone to countless magic tricks, and then DD joined him as well.  A wizard and a magician at our table.

 

After the boys were in bed and everyone left, C and I stayed up late to retrieve all of the gifts from their hiding places and wrap everything.  It made for a late night but it's something I look forward to doing the whole year.
