The boys were thrilled with the first snow of the season the day after Christmas. But it was a wet snow that quickly became just wet. There was no accumulation on the sidewalk but our back deck had a light dusting. After swords in the snow, we headed all the way out to the Smithsonian's other Air and Space Museum - the Udvar-Hazy. It's a huge open space where you can stretch your legs when the weather is bad outside. And if you're interested, the Space Shuttle Discovery is now permanently at home at Udvar-Hazy.
By Saturday another storm was upon us and there was more snow again. But it never stuck, turned to rain and then the clouds broke and sun came out.
