Day to Day
Being a parent, in many ways, is like being born-again. And I don't mean in the religious sense. But once you're a parent, you're you but in a different way. You're the youest you you've ever been. Your highs are the highest, lows the absolute lowest. Whatever fears you had are magnified. You relive your childhood while simultaneously seeing your adult years through new and ultra clear lenses.
It's heavy stuff, I'm not gonna lie. At the same time, it elevates everything. The day to day becomes more. A simple after dinner walk in search of iced coffee, lemonade and doughnuts, I know, will make me miss these days for the rest of my life.
