Oh boy did we have ourselves a wonderful birthday weekend. It started Friday night when we let BB and DD stay up past bedtime to watch a movie. Saturday was DD's birthday and the weather was perfect. In the morning, DD opened one of his presents. Then we went for breakfast outdoors topped off with smoothies. The main event of the day was the Georgetown Waterfront. BB and DD ran and splashed through the large fountain for a couple of hours before we headed down to the river to throw rocks and sticks and visit the ducks.
In the evening, we had a small family party where we celebrated our little boy turning four. I was telling C that in the last few weeks, DD seems more mature, more grown up, more articulate than he's been all year. A quote from him:
If I'm four, am I still a baby?
