Visiting A Summer Favorite

No trip to the National Arboretum is complete without a stop at the koi pond.  Be prepared with lots of quarters and some kind of container to hold the fish pellets.  I was armed from experience.  On their second bag of pellets, the boys were sitting close to the water, fingers hovering just inches above the koi.  The larger, stronger koi were jumping out of the water to get the food.  So fun to watch.

Back in May 2008 we took BB on his first trip to that same koi pond.  Five days later, DD was born.
