Beating The Heat, Part 2
It was still hot and swampy when I wrote this. After a truly packed schedule in the morning consisting of preschool, camp orientation, then back to preschool for a birthday celebration, gift-giving, and saying goodbye to friends and teachers, I was looking forward to some calm.
Instead we went home to build a fort (i.e., destroy the living room) and then rather than risk further damage at home, I took the boys to a splash fountain way out in the suburbs. This was strategic on my part. The long drive allowed the boys to catch a quick cat nap in the car. DD splashed and played for the whole afternoon. BB wasn't much in the mood for water play but was passionate about the rock garden nearby. Can you spot him in that last photo?
Another year of preschool under our belt. It was a really good year for both boys. Camp orientation went well. And since Monday our lives have changed completely - new schedules, new nanny, new teachers, new school.
