Prince William Forest Park + The National Park Service

On our Late Winter List is visit a new National Park.  I'd read lots of great reviews of the 15,000 acre Prince William Forest Park.  Our visit there last Saturday did not disappoint.  They have a small but very well-done Visitors Center.  We checked it out and grabbed a map before our hike.  The sun peaked out at all the right times, and despite running into lots of fellow hikers, the forest was quiet and peaceful.  This park is definitely among one of our new favorites and we'll be back to hike it again and again.

Speaking of the National Park Service, consider supporting them now more than ever by purchasing an America the Beautiful Annual Pass for just $80.  When something like NPS has to come under attack, you know that we're living in a world where facts don't matter.  Support and visit NPS parks whenever you can, and follow @AltBadlandsNPS and @AltNatParkSer on Twitter.
