Disney World: First Night

Our little family made the journey that many families make - the journey to Disney World.  Part of me still can't believe that we did it.  I had been putting this vacation off for years for many reasons - the crowds, the heat, the general cheese of Disney.  But when you have kids and if you allow them to watch any media, they are familiar with Disney characters of some sort.  When this year's school calendar was announced, I saw a chance to go on vacation for a week with the kids only missing a minimal amount of school.  Vacationing in fall is a luxury and it was the perfect time to visit central Florida.

Let me just say that we had a week of glorious weather.  We enjoyed sunny days and partly sunny days, warm enough to swim.  The evenings were cool and perfect for a sweater and shorts. The weather probably contributed to our feelings because all four of us fell in love with Disney World. We flew in the first night, dropped our bags in the lobby of our hotel, and booked it to Epcot for our first character dinner with none other than Chip n Dale.  If you didn't know, you'll be figuring it out with my next several posts, that there are no bigger fans of those two adorable chipmunks than my chipmunks.  The looks on their faces were priceless!

At this point, BB and DD had already declared the vacation the best of our their lives and it hadn't really even started yet!
