The Maniac Strikes...Again

Ok, the swim season really is over now.  The boys qualified for Divisionals this past weekend.  The tradition on their team is for the team Maniac to visit late the night before.  They leave personalized posters, car graffiti, chalk on the driveway, and they TP the house.  This helps get my young swimmers up and out of the house at 6AM.

Now that the season is over, we are pretty much free again to stay out later Friday evenings, plan outings during weeknghts, and sleep in on Saturdays! It's already mid-July and we've barely put a dent in our list of things we want to do and see this summer.  It's a good lesson for the boys though. Anything that you care about and is worth doing takes time, energy, and effort.  You make sacrifices in other ways. None of that is bad, however.  Just the way things are. 

I did take a few hours on Sunday to finalize some plans for our end of summer trip before the time got away from us. Now another trip to look forward to!  Summer is sweet.
