Daydreaming About Assateague Island

Another weekend is headed our way, and once again, I need it bad.  We are in town for the last swim meet of the season so I'm turning to vacation photos and doing a little daydreaming.

For the second year in a row, we've spent a day at Assateague Island when visiting Bethany.  The calm bay waters are a nice change from the rough and tumble of the ocean.  We learned what to bring from our first visit last year - towels, blankets, drinks, snacks, and our huge watermelon pool floats. We spent hours floating in the water and relaxing while the boys played their games.  There are kayaks for rent - we'll try that next time.
