Summiting Sugarloaf Mountain

I had been eyeing this past Sunday for some time.  Temperatures dropped to the mid-70s presenting us with the perfect outdoor day.  We batted around a couple of ideas and then hit upon Sugarloaf Mountain.  Somehow we had never gone to Sugarloaf in all this time.

The drive to Sugarloaf is very nice - through countryside and farmland.  Once there we parked where we could which dictates which trails you will take.  We decided to summit but we hiked all the way down first before going straight back up.  It's a steep climb.  My knees can attest to that.  But we all made it and the boys made it with almost no trouble at all (except for the fact that we failed to pack drinks).

On the way home, stomachs were grumbling and throats were parched.  We were just a few miles from Wegmans so we stopped for lunch and the week's groceries.  To rest their legs, BB and DD happily sat in the racecar shopping cart while we took turns pushing them around the store.  It was a great day and I'm adding Sugarloaf into our rotation from now on.
