Anime Momotaro/The Peach Boy

Banzai!  That's all I can say after watching Anime Momotaro at the Imagination Stage this weekend.  Both BB and DD loved it.  A few years ago, BB asked for a particular translation of the classic Japanese  tale The Peach Boy after reading it at school.  So when I heard that Anime Momotaro was part of this year's season at Imagination Stage, I reserved our tickets right away.  The anime style really piqued BB's interest since he's a fan of comic books.  The production and set were really superb and the adaptation of the classic tale of the Peach Boy was really impressive.  The boys want to see it again.

While not Chinese, it was fun to watch Anime Momotaro on Chinese New Year, a nod to Asian culture.  We haven't created many of our own family traditions for Chinese New Year, something I hope to change but the truth is it sneaks up on me every year.  At least the boys have their red envelopes tucked neatly under their pillows for good luck!
