Water Weekend

We didn't start things off with a bang, more like a poke, poke, poke, poke, poke, poke.  Yes, 6 shots between the two of them with BB getting the brunt of it.  We still have to goto Children's for a blood draw.  On the good news the Boys are growing nicely.  BB is upto around 50 percentile for weight.  Why is this noteworthy?  For those of you who know, since weaning him at a year, he only got skinnier and skinnier until he was only at about 5% on the charts.  Really sad and scary.  Even though he's still a little beanstalk, he's solidly in the middle.  Yeh!  DD is also growing well, solidy in the middle of the pack.

Saturday was swimming again.  I was hiding in the lounge area but when BB's class swam over, he spotted me and got this great shot of him happy, happy.  I was happy too because our housekeepers are back from vacation so we got home to clean house.  The Boys took a hot shower then lunch and nap.  In the afternoon we went to "Gingko Leaf Park" (aka Hadley's Playground), then the library to get some Chinese books for the nanny to read, and then an impromptu turn in the splash playground they have in the square.  I had no towel, no extra clothing, not even a tissue.  Of course the weather gods picked this weekend to be relatively cool so the Boys were freezing but unwilling to leave.  We finally dragged them out.  I wiped BB down with a clean diaper!  Then put his dry shirt back on, took off his bottoms and luckily found some new shorts we had bought still sitting in the back of the car.  DD went WT with just a diaper.  Then surprised my parents and their friends with a visit on Mahjong night.

Sunday we had to scrap plans to swim in grandparents' pool because storm clouds loomed all day and it was too cool.  Instead, C took them on the bike trail from Georgetown to Bethesda.  The rest of the day was spent running around the grandparents' house.

Was sad to see this weekend end.
