A Festive + Productive Long Weekend

First, let me start off by asking "how was your 4th of July weekend?"  Ours was fantastic, mostly because it was the first time that I can remember not having to work.  C was free all weekend as well.  The weekend officially started Friday afternoon.  I can't put an exact timeline together because the weekend was full of impromptu playground visits, leisurely strolls and date nights.  An extra day on the weekend makes everything possible, no?

• The boys went swimming and also splashed around in their pool on the roofdeck.
• We took in a 4th of July parade with friends.
• I watched BB in his preschool camp parade.
• We got takeout Korean BBQ and had a big family dinner.
• We finally planted on container garden (herbs + tomatoes).

We also squeezed in our usual visit to GG/PP's house on Monday.  In the midst of all of this, C even built an iron fence around the perimeter of our treebox.  Next step is to landscape it.  Looking forward for many more long weekends to come.
