Charlie's Toy Story

What's on your Christmas list for your little ones this year? You know about by foam swords.  But that aside, I've purchased some fun things for the Boys that fall into the various categories of things I like them to have.
  • Blocks and Legos.  Blocks and Legos and other open ended toys do really well at our house.  These days, Legos are used to make guns of all sorts.
  • Stacking and sorting toys.  BB loved them and now DD loves this.  He likes to find order in chaos so he will categorize and sort things and line things up,
  • Cars and things that go.  They love things that go.  So we have a great assortment of BRIO trains and cars and a full BRIO track set.  We also have some Thomas trains and IKEA tracks mixed in as well.  I bought a very large train table a few years ago that we painted with chalkboard paint awhile back.
  • Weapons.  They're boys.
  • Puzzles and books.  These are great quiet activities we do together.  Sometimes they like to do it on their own.
  • Art supplies.  We always have playdough or the makings of playdough in the house.  We also always have washable paints and markers and crayons.  BB has been practicing using scissors and both boys have been drawing/painting a lot.
  • Dress up.  The Boys love to dress up.  Our favorites of the moment are robot, Spiderman, Buzz Lightyear.  We've also got fireman, dragon, astronaut...But always on the look out for more dress up costumes.
