Happy Halloween 2017
It's the first day of November. Already. I feel like I'm basically tumbling from here to the rest of the year. The calendar pages just keep turning; the events and holidays just keep coming. We've got two vacations coming up in the next two months (more on that later), which always makes things feel more hectic.
But before moving on with the holidays, let's revisit Halloween. This year, BB and DD decided to be creepy crows. We found some very scary black masks at the Halloween store along with two sets of black wings. A couple of creepy black gowns, a meat cleaver, and a large chef's knife equals two creepy crows. (Check out the last photo and see if you can make them out). The weather was brisk but comfortable and the boys trick-or-treated longer than any previous year. We ran into friends and neighbors and visited our favorites houses along the way.
Now I've got to find a place to store their costumes in case they need some parts of it for next year. I could just be wishful thinking at this point. Who knows what kind of maturing will happen between now and next Halloween. I know many kids in middle school start aging out of the trick-or-treating phase. Just another thing we, as parents, will need to come to terms with.
