Scenes From the Beach

We've been away, can you tell?  Our end of Summer beach vacation was another success.  This year we were once again blessed by beautiful weather and lots and lots of family time.  All of the days kind of melted in to the next.  BB and DD played in the sand and swam in the ocean and ate ice cream and shaved ice endlessly.  C and I napped and read books and relaxed!

I love the rhythms that we fall into when are vacationing.  After a just a few hours at the beach, we had our shore routine down.  It was hard to put on long pants and real clothes Monday morning and head to the office.

We are enjoying our final week of Summer before school starts next week and an entirely new routine commands our lives. I'm trying to hang on to shorts and flip flops, but the boys know school is around the corner.  They've already started to make Halloween plans.
