This past Monday was a holiday (MLK day) and supposed to reach into the high 50s. It was the perfect day to go for a hike in the mountains in Cunningham Falls State Park. We'd never been. Actually, as we reached the waterfall, BB reminded us that he had actually gone there with his class on a field trip last year. But it was new to the rest of us. The hike to the falls was cold - there was ice and snow all over. As we made our way down the other side of the mountain, we were shielded from the wind and warmed by the sun. It was lovely and a fantastic day trip.
On the way home, we stopped by Wegman's, one of our favorite food stores. There isn't one anywhere near us so if we ever see one while we're on a journey, we go. We stocked up and lucky that we did because when we finally made it home, I heard that there was a big snowstorm headed our way. Who knew!
