Signs of Fall. And Happy Birthday, C!

It's been pouring rain here all day and the wet weather will continue into the weekend.  Since a soggy and muddy pumpkin patch is not my idea of fun, I took the boys to the store after school to buy an assortment of pumpkins and gourds.  We also stumbled upon these pumpkin tree flowers.  Have you seen these?  They are really adorable and they look just like miniature green, yellow, and bright orange pumpkins clinging to a branch.  Had to come home with us.

Today is C's birthday.  He doesn't like a fuss so we'll celebrate with the boys with a cake.  It really feels like Fall when C's birthday comes around.

Remember how I was feeling a bit out of sorts staying home last week?  The benefits of being a stay-at-home mom are starting to sink in.  I was home to meet the roofer, have breakfast with a friend, make homemade chicken soup, and have a meeting at school - no sweat.
