Continuing the Balance
Another weekend under our belts and a new week begins. The world is back to normal, which means I am back to work sifting through all that has been awaiting my return. The weekends are truly my escape from the mundane of the work week.
I haven't wanted to add too much to the boys' plates since throwing them into a new house and school. The end of Summer is also a natural stopping point to many activities. But now it's time to entrench ourselves once more. Last night, BB started his first swim clinic. He hasn't swam but for recreation in probably half a year. The clinic is tough, full of kids who are on swim teams. BB did it though. Watching him through the glass, I was really proud of him struggling through it at times. He swam more last night then he has ever swam.
But again, the need for balance. One of our priorities still is to have free range family time. A slow morning to explore a new trail we've never been to collecting acorns, leaves, and berries before activities and errands takeover is a requirement.
