Changes for the New Year

This was a photo-less weekend.  The only photo I snapped was this one, surreptitiously taken while DD swam by me.  It was a weekend of errands and routine.  We made some purchases for the house.  January always seems like a good time for some cozy textiles - a new rug, a throw, new bedding - while relentlessly purging the clutter.

In another month, DD will become an "afternoon kid," the moniker given to the primary students who are old enough to attend Montessori full day.  It's a big deal for DD, one that I think he is more than ready for.  So in   both little ways and big ways, our lives are always changing.
