Fall Getaway to DisneyWorld

You can't be surprised that we went to Disney again last week.  I told you that ever since our trip almost exactly a year ago, we've planned on returning.  I thought we'd wait two years but the opportunity presented itself in the school calendar (half days) and off we went.  We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge on this trip and asked for the Savannah view.  If you stay at the Lodge, get the view.  You won't regret it.  Every day, all day, the animals fed, ran around, and rested right in front of our eyes.  In fact, we didn't do the Safari ride this year because there was no need!
Just like last year, by the first week of November, all of the holiday decorations are up and the parks are looking festive.  Main Street at the Magic Kingdom was, well, magical.  The weather was balmy, we visited Chip N Dale every where they were, we enjoyed the parades (Disney knows how do to a parade), and even ate decent food.

I had reserved two visits to the Garden Grille for months.  The Garden Grille is the rotating restaurant in Epcot that features Chip N Dale (and Mickey and Pluto).  Since we were in Epcot, we took the opportunity to go on some rides and had some places almost all to ourselves.  It was a great day, topped off by an even greater evening.
If you're planning a trip to DisneyWorld yourself, I should update the tips I offered in this post last year.  First of all, Instacart is available to deliver from Whole Foods to your resort!  The day we were about to leave, we scheduled a delivery of snacks and it was all waiting for us when we checked in.

Another tip I want to offer is that Park Hopper tickets are worth it, especially if your kids are like mine, and want to travel between parks during the day.  I'll be posting more of our trip with photos this week.  Overall, even though we had full days and evenings, it was great bonding time for our whole family.  We also had the chance to do one-on-ones with BB and DD, which also is special and time I really look forward to.
