My Best Tip for Overcoming Jetlag

Here are some photos of our first couple of days in Taipei.  A big part of enjoying Taipei is partaking in its legendary night markets but it is very hard to stay up late enough to participate when you are jetlagged. It took us a full week to get acclimated on our trip two years.  This time we decided to break in the afternoons and take a long nap.  Then we'd wake up again around dinner time and enjoy the evening.
We hit the Shilin night market, which was super fun for all of us.  The boys were on a hunt for specific plushies, so having a goal to shoot for fueled us all.  Shilin had a great mix of stores for all of us; we had a lot of success finding souvenirs and treasures.

On another night we hit Ximending - the Harajuku of Taipei.  The energy there is contagious - perfect for our jetlagged selves.  BB and DD probably shopped more at the night markets than they've ever shopped in the U.S., which we usually do via Amazon.  They were both really getting into spotting stores that might carry things they were interested and browsing for specific treasures, figuring out prices, and converting them to U.S. dollars.
