Although our trip to Taipei was weeks ago now, I'm suffering from a general malaise that was most certainly brought on by our wonderful trip.  This time of year we are so busy with end of the school year planning and both BB's and DD's upcoming birthdays.  Also, BB will be ending his elementary school career so there are numerous attendant ceremonies and parties.  But where is my mind, my heart?  Still in Taipei...

On our first Monday there, we had a family obligation that kept us somewhat in limbo in the morning.  Rather than miss out on any fun, we took a nice walk along the river path near our apartment.  The neighbors use it for walking, running, and biking, and was very scenic along the way. By the time we got back from the two-mile loop, we were hot and hungry, and made our way to brunch at DTF!

We spent the rest of the day enjoying the weather (the hottest day of our whole trip) and playing around downtown.  Since our last trip to Taipei two years ago, a Donguri Republic store opened. That was at the top of our list.  The boys had fun sitting in the cat bus and looking at all the Totoro and Ponyo items, but it seems their love for Totoro has subsided since our last visit.  That's fine with me because I wasn't looking forward to dropping another hundred dollars on stuffed animals (more on that next time).

We cafe'd the rest of the day away, and honestly I don't remember what we did after that besides take a nap.
