Taipei, Day 6 - Friends, Da'an + YongKang

Are you ready for more photos from Taipei?  On Day 6, we were meeting with my good friend from Tokyo.  She and her son flew out to meet us.  The two of us watched while our boys played together and we marveled how we were hanging out together in Taipei(!)  We made plans to go to Da'an Park in the morning so the kids could play at the playground.  A word about the Da'an Park MRT stop - there was sun-filled courtyard with sculptures, seating areas, and live plants at the top of the escalator.  So lovely!

When everyone was hungry we headed to the hip YongKang Street for brunch.  We ducked into one of the numerous cafes and had ourselves a filling meal.  A word on YongKang Street - it's chock full of cafes, bars, boutiques and galleries that I wanted to explore, but with three kids in tow, didn't have the chance.  C and I made a mental note to return.

The day was hot so we hopped it over the W Taipei and let the kids swim in the roofdeck pool.  So beautiful and devoid of people!  After several hours, BB and DD were tired so we went back to our apartment to clean up and have some dinner. But our night wasn't over.  Pictures of what we did that night coming soon.
