Taipei, Day 3 - A Day in the Life

What was a typical day for us in Taipei?

5:30AM - Super early wake ups.  (Wake ups were even earlier than this but this is what time we let the boys get out of bed).

6:00AM - Breakfast for boys at home.

7:30AM - Packing up, making itinerary.

8:00AM - Playground in our courtyard downstairs.  Coffee from cafe downstairs.

9:00AM - MRT downtown.  First stop - Sogo for second breakfast/lunch.  The food court doesn't open until 11:00 so we hit up the City Super instead (the gourmet grocery store).  DD gets a sandwich from the fancy bakery and BB scores roast chicken. The boys had plenty of time to play at a playground nearby.

11:00AM - brunch for me and C.  Snacks and ice cream for BB and DD.

1:00PM - Cab to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial.  Just in time for the changing of the guards!  Some refreshments and perusing the gift shops.

2:30PM - BB declares he is hungry...for steak.  We find Danny's Steakhouse, a fancy steakhouse so we cab it over.  The taxi driver proceeds to tell us how expensive it's going to be.

2:45PM - Danny's was expensive but it hit the spot.  I realize that we are close to Miramar Entertainment Park so we make the 5 minute walk over.  The boys play at the LEGO store while I shop.  We ride the huge ferris wheel.

5:30PM - The boys are exhausted at this point so we forego exploring the neighborhood and taxi home.

P.S. We saw this "little dumpling" in the morning and made a note to come back.
