First Day of School

Today was the first day of school.  We have a first and third grader in the house!  No more baby kindergartener.  And third graders sit at their own desk!  I wasn't exactly prepared for the first day of school given that we've been away and just got back Saturday.  I didn't have new clothes or shoes prepared, but did find these new shirts that I bought and forgot about late last night.  We had the requisite school supplies for the most part, but I have had to run out to buy notebook paper tonight.

As proud as I am of these two, I am sad to see summer end.  I'm trying not to let my feelings show and stay upbeat about the new school year.  At least there is a long weekend headed our way.
