Lots of Change

Change is hard and we're seeing a lot of it right now.  It will be a new school for BB and DD.  That is huge.  Saying goodbye for good to our extended family at the boys' school was really sad.  These are friends, classmates and teachers the boys have known since they were 2 and 3 years old.  Then yesterday we found out that our long time nanny will need to take a leave of absence for 6 months.  We knew we were probably going to let her go in the Fall anyway but this just moves up the timeline and makes things much more final.  It's going to be sad for our boys, who have thought of her as a part of our family since they were babies.  And, of course, we're moving.  The new house is beautiful, nothing to be sad about there.  The hard part is saying goodbye to our home.  We put a lot of effort into making it right for us.  We brought two babies home to this charming old house of ours.  We became a family here.

To get us excited for this summer of changes, we took the boys over to the new house last night and showed them around the place.
