We are in holiday mode at our home. The weekend provided cozy family time to take back the house and bring out some of our Christmas decorations. The stockings are now hung, Elfy Sam finally made his appearance, new winter candles were lit, and our two advent calendars for the season were unveiled. Saturday night C and I put blankets and pillows in the back of the car and we drove up to the Winter Lights Festival, our annual tradition. This year we got the 3D glasses which made for some psychedelic light viewing.
These photos were taken the Friday after Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday season. We met some friends at Zoo Lights and enjoyed the light show in the mild weather. The boys are hoping for a white Christmas, but the fact is temperatures will reach almost 70 here in DC today and tomorrow.
