We've Been Away, But We're Back

You've figured out by now that we've been away.  First, C flew out to California for a family visit and then redeyed it back home just in time for us to hit the road about 30 minutes later.  We returned for more beach time at the Outer Banks.  Our first day and a half was all about beach and pool time, and returning to our favorite spots like the bookstore and some of other favorite shops.

While we were away, the calendar turned from August to September and we came back yesterday to a rain storm, Halloween items on store shelves, and back-to-school supply aisles decimated.  It makes me feel as though we were gone a very long time.

We're enjoying our last few days of summer before the unofficial end and the start of school.
