Sharing a Room

I blogged about these bunkbeds at Ohdeedoh. They are the Moda bunkbeds from Room and Board. BB had the crib as a baby and we've always loved how well-built the furniture is and how nice it looks. It's too soon now as DD is only 18 months but we've already begun thinking about having the boys share a room in the future. Once BB drops his nap, we won't have conflicting sleep schedules at a shared room will make sense.

This is a big home improvement project for us. It will probably mean moving the boys out of their respective rooms into the bigger bedroom on the third floor which is currently an office. (The photo above is how the office looked when we bought the house). There is dark wood and built-in bookshelves on every wall. It's a perfect office but not so good as a bedroom. We'll have to tear out the built-ins, fix the drywall, paint it, do new lighting , etc. The other option is to move DD from the nursery into BB's current room which is smaller than the office but a very nice room. Given that it's smaller, we would probably do bunkbeds to free up floor space. We're just in the pre-planning stages now it won't be until next year that we put the wheels into motion but I'm giving you a preview of what's to come.
