Weekend Recap

I'm writing about last weekend and this weekend is upon us!

We ended up having ourselves a very busy weekend. That seems to be the pace of things from here to summer.  Both the boys will be celebrating birthdays, and the race to the end of the school year (and the end of elementary school for BB) is always rife with events. But back to the weekend. We were preparing for a NERF war party we decided to host.  After breakfast on Saturday, we headed out to buy snacks and supplies before meeting up with everyone at the park.  Despite the light drizzle, the kids had a great time so we'll definitely be doing it again soon.

Afterwards, DD had a sleepover with his two best friends but in the middle of the night, he couldn't sleep so I went to pick him up.  Just as well because I like him getting a good night sleep at home. While he was away though, we took BB out for some shopping.  The little man is having his promotion ceremony next month and we needed a suit and he picked out a green striped tie - perfect for spring.  A trip to the bookstore to check out new releases and I found this great shelf of Asian recommendations.  I had never seen this before and the selection of books were really interesting, many of which were new to me.

Sunday morning we went to the toy store to check out more NERF guns, in preparation for the next battle.  After errands, we went to get ice cream and then watch Born in China before heading home for a late bedtime.  This weekend is mostly free.  It's Mother's Day and all I want to do is relax!
