Mild Winter Days

Are you enjoying this mild winter in D.C.?  Temperatures are soaring this long weekend, and there is no snow on the horizon so I'm already looking ahead towards spring.

On the weekends we are spending time outdoors hiking and finding new trails and access points to the water. We found another new spot this past weekend higher up on the river.  There was a patch of ice in the canal from the previous night's chill and BB and DD gathered larger and larger rocks to throw and break the ice.  This is an activity they've enjoyed since they were toddlers.

Another long weekend means another out-of-town trip for skiing for my three men.
