What do we look forward to each holiday season besides decoration our own home? Seeing the holiday decorations at the White House. It is a real treat to be able to tour the White House (the people's house) and see what creative and festive decor they come up with year after year. The boys' favorite probably was the LEGO room - gingerbread houses made of LEGOs in the architectural style of each state. My favorite was the East colonnade adorned with strips of ribbon and crystal.
After our tour we grabbed lunch downtown and then headed back towards home to watch
The Lion, the Witch,and the Wardrobe at Adventure Theatre. I'm almost sad that photos of the set aren't allowed, so I can't show you the inventive use of space. BB and DD definitely highly recommend this show. They were laughing and entranced through it all.
