Pumpkin + Apple Picking (+ C's Birthday!)

Last week when the weather started turning a bit cooler, we were all in the mood for pumpkins. This year I let the boys pick out the biggest pumpkin they could carry (it's 37 pounds!).  We also picked a bunch of odd shaped friends and my favorite white mini pumpkins.  Of course no trip to the pumpkin patch is complete without picking apples and bringing home a jug of cider.

Naturally, BB and DD love having lots of days off but as a parent, it's been tough to build up momentum with all of these pauses.  It's hard to believe we're already in the middle of October - September really flew by without me realizing it.  

Oh and today is C's birthday so the boys and I will be running out to gather some birthday goodies before he gets home.  We both had the day off yesterday while the boys had class so we were able to fit in a nice Monday brunch and shopping, just the two of us.
