A Day in the Life
Last week was out of the ordinary for all of us. The Pope descended on D.C. followed by the Chinese Premiere, causing most everyone to work from home for much of the week. C had an important meeting to attend so he had to go into the office in the morning super early. That left me with packing lunches and preparing their breakfast.
7:15 AM: The boys are downstairs getting a little Minecraft in while waiting for breakfast.
8:50 AM: Lunches and backpacks are packed up. I send the boys outside to play while I have my coffee.
9:05 AM: We walk to the bus stop and chat with our friends and neighbors.
11:15 AM: I snap a photo after finishing a conference call. The backyard view from our bedroom is gorgeous.
1:30 PM: C is done with his meeting and we go out to have a big lunch at a nearby Korean restaurant. All you can eat!
4:30 PM: We pick up the boys from school to goto the Nats game. The tickets were originally for Monday night but was postponed for rain. We really lucked out with the weather!
6:45 PM: After stuffing our faces with half-smokes and fries, we head for home. It was gorgeous drive back home with the windows down and a spectacular sunset.
