We returned yesterday from a week away at the beach. It's been a year since we've been to the Outer Banks, much too long. Although I remembered to buy Easter baskets and candy, I forgot to bring them with us to the beach(!) but rain on our last day gave us the chance to stay indoors and dye our eggs.
The week away was really great. Besides adventures, getting away gives me perspective and sets me back on course. Our vacation felt really short, but when we returned home so much had changed in a week's time. The cherry blossoms have blown away while our own trees and flowers have blossomed.
