Back in Spring, I took the boys to Turkey Run Park for the first time. We made it down the steep hill but never all the way to the River because it started to rain. A few weekends ago, we visited again and made sure to get to the water. As you can see from the photos, what started out as stepping on stones ended with sitting in the waist high water. The boys were missing Hirtles Beach and the warm water of the Bay.
I've come to terms with the fact that Summer is essentially over for us. Our new school starts a week earlier than we're used to so a last jaunt to the beach won't happen this year. The bout of Fall-like weather we had this past weekend helped ease the transition. We even saw some Halloween decorations at the store yesterday. Halloween!
