Stepping Back in Time at the Market Fair
We took a step back in time, a huge step back to 1771 at this weekend's Market Fair at the Claude Moore Colonial Farm. This outing has been on my list for the last few years, but we've never made it for one reason or another. To make sure we took advantage this time, I booked a date with our friends to meet them after the boys' lessons in the morning.
There is so much to do and see at the Market Fair and at Claude Moore itself, and we left having only sampled (some of) the Fair. We're saving the Farm itself for another day. In fact, BB has a field trip this week to spend a day at the Farm. The boys took part in a fencing lesson, ate delicious chicken roasted over an open pit, bought wooden swords, and watched a slack rope and juggling act. The boys had a great time. We all did.
